JPRESSWOOD plant project worth more than €100 million starts

A more than €100 million industrial project for the company JPRESSWOOD, a member of the TMV CAPITAL group, has started in the Marijampolė region. The national development institution ILTE UAB has provided €77 million in financing for the construction of the new production plant. JPRESSWOOD company will manufacture high value-added pressed pallet blocks.

The fully automated pressed pallet block production plant is expected to begin operations in the second half of 2027. It is planned to manufacture 200,000 to 250,000 cubic meters of pressed pallet blocks annually, using wood industry waste, such as sawdust, wood chips, and bark as the main raw materials.

One of the main suppliers of raw materials will be JUODELIAI, a leading European manufacturer of wooden pallet elements with over 30 years of experience, also a member of the TMV CAPITAL group of companies. The new plant is expected to create around 150 new jobs in the region, contributing to regional economic development and strengthening the competitiveness of the TMV CAPITAL group.

This project is a strong example of the circular economy in practice—creating value from materials previously considered waste. By using JUODELIAI’s by-products—sawdust, wood chips, and bark—the project creates a sustainable synergy between the two group companies. This model allows for more efficient resource use, reduced CO₂ emissions, and the development of a high value-added, environmentally friendly product.

The Ministry of the Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania has granted the project large-scale investment status, recognising it as one of the most significant industrial investments in the Marijampolė region in recent years. JPACKAGING plant will also strengthen Lithuania’s position in the field of sustainable industrial solutions and become one of the largest facilities of its kind in Europe.

The construction of the JPRESSWOOD plant will be carried out by PST GROUP AB, with a total building area of approximately 20,000 square meters. The construction project for the plant was developed by the design company BENDRIEJI STATYBŲ PROJEKTAI.
